Greyton Lodge Bed and Breakfast realises how very momentous a day your wedding is. Apart from our Greyton bed and breakfast accommodation, we have had the pleasure of hosting several weddings and can assure that we will do everything in our power to ensure that your wedding day is filled with wonderful moments. We believe that the wedding party should be able to relax and enjoy every second of this special day, and we attend to all of the details with the minimum of fuss.
With the grandeur of the Sonderend mountain range as a backdrop, the wonderfully romantic garden at Greyton Lodge is an idyllic setting for a wedding. Many of our brides choose to have the wedding ceremony at the top of the garden, at our Greyton accommodation establishment, and we usually set up a small altar for this. Tables are set up at the bottom of the garden, close to the restaurant and the bar for the reception. Alternatively we can position the altar underneath the wisteria and situate the reception at the top of the garden.
In the event of bad weather on the wedding day, or should you want to plan an indoor winter wedding from the outset, we can seat up to 40 people in our dining room. The main dining room seats up to 40 guests and our outside gardens can hold about 100 more people.
Greyton Lodge has 15 double rooms in total and we offer a special wedding rate for our Greyton bed and breakfast accommodation providing all the rooms are occupied. In addition, if all the rooms are booked by the wedding party, there is no charge for the venue for the ceremony, reception and dinner. Should you need more accommodation in Greyton, we can organise this for you in nearby guesthouses and bed and breakfast accommodation establishments at the same rate as we will charge at Greyton Lodge. If the rooms are not fully occupied by your wedding guests we then charge for the use of the venue.
Greyton is a fascinating place, close to the Hermanus Whale coast, a great wine route and several other local attractions such Genadendal the site of the oldest mission station in South Africa. Not surprisingly, instead of rushing off after the wedding, many guests choose to stay longer at Greyton Lodge enjoying more of what this charmingly unique village has to offer, such as riding, walking, bird watching, fishing, or simply lazing around the pool after a good breakfast.
